This free unregistered version has no usage or time restrictions, and will decrypt all strengths. The encrypt strength is 7 characters (56 bits). Registration increases the encrypt strength to 56 characters (448 bits) in North America, and to 16 characters (128 bits) Internationally.

Installation tips if you have problems

  1. If you did not make note of the Folder the program was downloaded into use either “My Computer” or “Windows Explorer” to locate the ‘Install A-Lock.exe’ file.
  2. Double-click on the ‘Install A-Lock.exe’ file name and the program will be automatically installed. You will see the A-Lock icon on the task tray in the bottom right corner of your Windows screen. A-Lock will load automatically every time you start windows.
  3. It is highly recommended that you read the Help file for information on using A-Lock. This file can be accessed by clicking the A-Lock icon and selecting “Help” from the menu list.
